ARCHIVED:

Greeting fellow members!

In an effort to 'update' & hopefully make the newsletter more interesting, I am going to try the web log (='blog) method to get information to, & attempt to elicit some feedback/content from you.

I would appreciate any positive feedback, offers of help to edit/provide content (the Section leaders do send in scores etc), but pictures, articles, web links etc are all welcome).

Regular schedules, information, features etc will be available through other pages  on the site (use the main page's "Search" function if you need to).

BULLET-IN # 285 December 2015

FROM THE COMMITTEE:

The first meeting of the new Committee  will be on Monday 28 December (LAST Monday of the month); all new members are encouraged to attend, & all members are  welcome!

  • The club's AGM was held on Sunday December 13 at 0930 hrs.

  • In case you haven't already, (as the sub's have not changed for this financial year), please visit your personal club profile, update any details & pay your subs in order to be financial.

Remember, if you hold a "B" (pistol) endorsement, it is a requirement to be paid up, as well as fulfilling your 12x/year attendances.

  • Corporate Shoots (eg Porsche Club) are not only a significant source of income that supports the club (& therefore your activities) but a good low-key, one-on-one, non-threatening way to promote the shooting sports & show the public that we are serious about safety & enjoyment.

If you'd like to be involved, contact Gary Rawlinson  & share the passion with shooting 'newbies'.

Range Schedule

Change in tactic here. For details and changes, check the range schedule from the website ; copying it has problems in that things change, and when the schedule is printed, members end up with out of date info.

So, the basic range schedule is as detailed below.  You don't even have to log on to see it!!!

(Basic) RANGE SCHEDULE:

First Saturday  Simulated Game Bird
IPSC
First Sunday  Can be Multigun, Service Rifle or other (e.g. Jungle lane shotgun or .22 rifle)
Second Sunday  CAS
ISSF (Service Pistol)
Third Saturday  Simulated Game Bird
Third Sunday   3-Gun
Fourth Sunday  Speed Steel

Club Website; how do I use it?

If you're not a "digital native", living online, a teen-ager or IT geek, you most likely feel daunted by the sight of a complicated looking website?   Well, fear no more!  Gary has suggested that we put together a set of guidelines for using & abusing it (since we already have it!); what do you think?  Comments & (helpful) suggestions welcomed below.
